Regulator for Safety Case Regime:
Major Hazards Department(MHD) is the regulation agency of the Safety Case regime for Major Hazard Installations (MHIs), including Safety Case assessments, process-related incident investigation, MHI industry engagement and coordination of multi-agency matters relating to safety, health and environment.MHD is an inter-agency department formed in MOM on 1st September 2016 in order to manage safety case regime effectively, comprising officers from MOM, NEA and SCDF.
